Biology of Sport is an international scientific peer-reviewed journal, published quarterly in both paper and electronic format. The journal publishes articles concerning basic and applied sciences in sport, physical exercise, sports medicine, pharmacology, training and testing as well as in other biological and social aspects related to sport. Priority is given to inter-disciplinary papers.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Biology of Sport invites the submission of high quality original research articles, short communications and review papers. Please note that only those manuscripts that have not been published anywhere else are eligible for consideration. The only exception is
the presentation of preliminary data (i.e. abstract); in such cases the authors are obliged to make an appropriate note in the manuscript.
A cover letter must be signed by all authors stating that all the above requirements have been appropriately fulfilled and that they agree to publication of the manuscript in the Biology of Sport. The authors are solely responsible for the scientific content as well as for the ethical and legal aspects of their work.

All manuscripts will be evaluated by two independent reviewers and the editors. The authors will be informed about the opinions of the referees concerning acceptance, improvement or rejection of the manuscript. All editors’ decisions are final.

 

AUTHORS’ FEES

Authors are required to pay a fee of 50 Euro (or 200 Polish zloty or 70 US dollars) via bank transfer along with manuscript submission. The corresponding author is responsible for all documentation necessary for proper processing of the bank transfer.

In the title of transfer operation, the reference number of the manuscript, which is automatically given during the submission process, should be written.

The submission fee is not refundable regardless of acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.

After positive evaluation of the manuscript the authors will be requested to pay 100 Euro (or 400 Polish zloty or 140 US dollars) to the bank account of the publisher. Payment is intended to partially cover the cost associated with publication. The accepted manuscript will be published within the next 6 months.

Reproduction of the publication in any form or by any means requires the permission of the editors. The authors may reproduce their own work for non-commercial purposes with clear indication of the original publisher.
